PulsePlay · Android · Terms of Use

Effective date: October 23, 2026 Last updated: 2026-10-23

These Terms of Use apply to the PulsePlay Android and Wear OS apps. By using PulsePlay, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. How PulsePlay handles information is explained in the Privacy Policy; these terms do not replace any permission or consent required for recording or sharing.

1. What PulsePlay provides

PulsePlay lets you record heart rate on a compatible watch, receive optional sound and vibration feedback, mark moments, review saved sessions, and share a session with one nearby partner. An optional phone app provides connected controls, a display of received data, history, and image export. PulsePlay does not require its own account and does not provide a cloud recording archive or remote heart rate monitoring.

Recording requires a compatible heart rate watch running Wear OS 4 or later. The phone app requires Android 13 or later. Heart rate capabilities, permissions, Bluetooth, Google platform services, and device settings can affect feature availability. Two-way heart rate sharing requires each sender to have a compatible watch; receiving alone does not measure your heart rate.

2. General information, not medical care

PulsePlay is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Readings, baselines, zones, curves, peaks, and alerts are general information, not medical advice or a measure of whether an activity is safe. Consult a qualified healthcare professional about health concerns or before relying on information for health decisions.

Do not use PulsePlay for emergencies, patient monitoring, or safety-critical decisions. Do not wait for an alert if you feel unwell; seek appropriate help. Heart rate cannot establish another person's emotions, attraction, pleasure, consent, or orgasm. A reading or shared session is never a substitute for clear, ongoing agreement between people.

3. Recording, device behavior, and reliability

Heart rate sensors can produce inaccurate, missing, or delayed readings. Fit, movement, device capabilities, system restrictions, battery state, and connection quality may affect results. Sound and vibration may be delayed, suppressed, or unavailable. PulsePlay does not guarantee uninterrupted recording, delivery within a particular time, measurement accuracy, or battery life.

Starting a PulsePlay recording can end a workout being recorded by another app on the same watch. Whether that app saves its existing workout is controlled by that app. Review the notice before starting.

An active session can continue when the screen turns off or you leave the page. Pausing alerts pauses feedback, not recording. Use the end control to stop a session. Disconnections, permission changes, other workout apps, or system interruptions can end a session or leave an incomplete record. Do not assume another device received or saved information merely because it was sent or appeared on a screen.

4. Sharing, other wearers, and saved copies

Record another person or share their information only with their informed agreement. When lending your watch, explain the recording, alerts, sharing settings, and how to stop. Do not use PulsePlay for covert recording, surveillance, harassment, coercion, or any unlawful purpose.

Review the partner identity, pairing confirmation, sharing explanation, and send/receive choice before a shared session. Participants can keep information they receive, including shared markers and notes, and may synchronize a copy to their own phone. Stopping sharing does not recall previously received information. Deleting a record removes the saved history on that device; it does not delete another device's copy, stop an active session, or reset purchase or trial access. Marker changes depend on successful synchronization and cannot guarantee recall of earlier copies.

You are responsible for the notes and other material you enter and the images you choose to share. Obtain any necessary permission before sharing another person's information. Exported images omit certain identifying text but can still reveal sensitive information or be recognizable from context. Review the image before saving or sending it. PulsePlay cannot control recipients, third-party sharing apps, or copies they retain.

5. Trial access and purchases

PulsePlay includes one trial session that you create. Solo and shared session creation use the same trial allowance, subject to the app's recording and completion rules. After the trial is used, a one-time in-app purchase unlocks further session creation. Joining a partner's session is free and does not use the joining participant's trial allowance. A shared session still needs an eligible creator. Deleting a recording does not replenish a used trial.

This is a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription. The product, availability, local price, and applicable charges are shown by Google Play before purchase. No purchase is completed merely by opening the purchase page. A pending payment does not unlock access until confirmed and verified.

Purchases are processed through Google Play, subject to its terms and payment rules. To restore an eligible purchase on your other device, use the same Google Play account and the app's restore control. Each device verifies its own purchase access; pairing with a device or partner does not transfer a purchase to another Google Play account. Restoration depends on Google Play recognizing the purchase and may require connectivity. Refunded or revoked purchases can lose access when the app next successfully checks ownership. Saved records remain available independently of permission to create a new session.

For a refund, use Google Play's refund process or contact us for help. Eligibility depends on the transaction, Google Play's applicable policy, and any consumer rights you have. These terms do not remove refund or other rights that cannot be excluded by law. A one-time unlock is not a promise of perpetual app support, future feature additions, or compatibility with all future devices or operating systems.

6. Permission to use the app

You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use PulsePlay for your own lawful purposes, subject to these terms and the applicable store rules. PulsePlay's software, branding, and supplied design assets remain protected by their respective intellectual property rights. Third-party components remain subject to their applicable licenses. You retain your rights in content you create or provide; using the app does not transfer ownership of that content to us.

Do not bypass payment or security controls, impersonate a participant, interfere with another person's device, or redistribute the app without permission. Restrictions on copying, modification, or reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not override rights granted by applicable third-party licenses.

7. Updates, availability, and ending use

Features can change, and device or platform changes may require app updates. We may update or discontinue the app or particular features, subject to applicable consumer rights and any notice or remedy required by law. We do not promise ongoing support for every device or operating system version.

You can stop using PulsePlay at any time. End active sessions before uninstalling, and manage records separately on each device. Uninstalling does not cancel a completed one-time purchase, remove a partner's copy, or delete exported images. If you breach these terms, your license to use the app may end to the extent permitted by law; this does not authorize access to or remote deletion of your local recordings.

8. Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, PulsePlay is provided as available, without additional promises that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. You remain responsible for deciding when and how to use it and for protecting your devices and exported information.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate sensor readings, interrupted connections, third-party services, recipient actions, or device failure outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable rights to statutory warranties, refunds, or other consumer remedies. These terms do not excuse fraud, deliberate misconduct, or failure to meet obligations that applicable law makes mandatory.

9. Changes and contact

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in PulsePlay or its operation. The current version will show its last updated date. Material changes will be communicated where required, and changes will not remove rights already protected by applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
